Hmmm, A Blog Eh!

My word, I forgot that I even had this thing going!

In faact, looking at it it seems like a forgot last summer! To be fair not long after my last post I went away travelling, and I had lots of things to do when I got back. For those of you who don't know, I went away to travel around the world for 3 1/2 months. I went with my friend Dan, and we travelled across America, over to Hawaii, onto New Zealand and Oz, and finishing in Hong Kong. I have added a little widget to the sidebar that shows some of the photos I uploaded onto Flickr while I was away. The photos stop rather abruptly in Byron Bay, since that was the last chance I had to upload any photos before my camera got nicked in Hong Kong!

Anyway, the travelling was fantastic, and if I could do it again I would in a second! In fact, I now harbour dreams of moving to Melbourne in Oz to work, although this plan is on hold while I wait for a knee operation and work out how to make money!

So, what have I been up to since I arrived home? Not a great deal really, especially in comparison to the months before! I did a bit of temp work in the run up to Christmas, mainly so that I could afford presents and going out with friends. I had a quiet Christmas, and spent New Years at a friends house having a few bevvies!

Since then I have been temping at Siemens Magnets near Oxford. The job isn't exactly taxing and I have had large periods of time when I have done nothing but watch films and TV programs on my Creative Zen! But it is money and I can't complain at that, especially since it is the highest temp wages I have had.

Apart from work I have had my weekends consumed with hockey! When I'm not playing on a Saturday, I'm out with other players on a Saturday night, and then either coaching or watching Hockey on Sunday! It is enjoyable, although I am looking forward to the time where I can just relax for an entire weekend!

I have also been enjoying socialising with my friends again. Although Nelly and Dan are up in Loughborough now, and various other friends are spread across various parts of the UK, I have been enjoying the company of Ems and Drew quite often (when I'm not working lates). We have spent copius amounts of time in the White Hart recently, and it is fast becoming my favourite place for a drink. This past Saturday Drew and I spent the afternoon in there, watching the England - Scotland game on the big TV's, followed by the 2nd half of the Arsenal - Middlesborough game. Then on Sunday evening we again ventured inside, and had a game of Scrabble whilst waiting for Ems! And as if this wasn't good enough, the bar staff even turned Top Gear on for us! Gotta love that!

So after the glory of the White Hart, I went back to Ems' to watch the Superbowl This mainly involved both of us falling asleep, although I somehow managed to see most of the game!

Right, think I will leave it there. Been of work today since had a migrane that was causing me to throw up last night. Hoping it doesn't happen again tonight!

I may write up some random stories from travelling if I remember any while I'm at my computer. If not, then tough!

Much Love

Evening All!

Hello again

Been a while since I posted anything, so I thought I would take a bit of time to write a little! Firstly I would like to congratulate all my friends who graduated Uni this year. There are a few, and I have spoken to them all, but I thought I would take the opportunity to say it on here! Also, good luck to everyone with whatever it is you decide to do next!

Right, now that that's out of the way, I can get onto writing the usual crap! Work at RM has been ok, it has its good days and its boring days. Things with Christine are good (read: she hasn't attempted to kill me yet!) personally, I always find this to be a good thing! Last weekend I went to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with my brother Daffid and a mate of ours, Arthur.

It was one of the best weekends I have had in a very long time. We stayed in my parents caravan for 2 nights, which is conveniently positioned on a site opposite a pub! Result! The days were spent walking around Goodwood, taking many photos, looking at many nice cars and rating the Tobacco ladies! (Tobacco ladies being the mainly attractive ladies shoved in small stalls selling cigarettes!)

We drove down to Goodwood on the Friday morning in my car, me driving of course! We were there by 11ish and the weather was quite good. After looking around some of the static car displays, we made our way to a section of the hill climb to watch some cars. Unfortunately it rained at a few intervals, not badly enough to soak you through, but enough to allow for my brother to look like an idiot!

In the evening we went for a pub dinner which was lovely, and then settled down to watch the crap-fest that is 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift'! What fun!

Saturday was a brilliantly sunny day, meaning that I got to work on my tan (or sunburn, depends on your view!) We spent more time wandering around all of the attractions, including walking up to the rally stage that takes place in a forest at the top of the hill. I wanted to put a few more pics in, but unfortunately eblogger is being gay, and will only allow me one picture!

Anyway, Sunday was extremely wet when we arrived at Goodwood. We got to the position we wanted to sit to see the cars and get some good photos, and then proceeded to get absolutely soaked! It did eventually brighten up and we were treated to a good few burnouts by the end of the day!

Apart from Goodwood I haven't been up to anything except work. I have found out that I could be leaving to go traveling as early as August 10th if everything works out! This is a lot sooner than I was expecting, so I need to get properly sorted as soon as possible!

Think that will do for now, I will try to get some more Goodwood photos up at some point, but until then stay well everyone!

Feels... Weird

Well, today was interesting!
Last Friday I finished work at Oxford Instruments and, much to my surprise, I was kind of sad! After all of my complaining about how the work was boring and I couldn't wait to finish moving stuff around, I actually grew to enjoy the place. The people were good, the job wasn't too taxing, and I got to drive around a lot in a van! But alas, for some reason I decided that RM would be a better option (mainly due to being a tiny bit more money!!)

So, today was my first day back at RM. Given that every time that I have worked at RM I have left vowing never to return, somehow I keep ending up back there! I wasn't worried about starting there again, I have worked there so many times that I know most of the full-time staff, and a few of the temps too. What did have me nervous last night was thinking about seeing Christine again. Although we have kept in contact through texts, I haven't seen her since November, so the thought of seeing her again was an odd one.

The moment I walked back through the door at RM I wondered why! The day hadn't started well because I couldn't sleep! I woke up at 2am looked at my clock and was absolutely convinced that it was 6:30, the time I was meant to be getting up. I was so convinced that I actually get up, turned my light on and thought about getting dressed! It was only when I really started thinking that I realised the actual time. This would have been ok, go back to bed and sleep for another 4 hours, except the same thing happened at 4 and 5am! Think I'm going crazy!

So I eventually get up at the right time, get ready and leave for RM. But it was really during the induction, which I have done 5 times now, that I realised I shouldn't be there! I could have got such a better job if I just applied myself, but there-in lies the problem: I can't be arsed!

So, the fun day of RM work began. Oddly, the one thing that I was most nervous about ended up being the one real highlight of the day. Seeing Christine again was odd, but nice too. It was at the end of the day when I had talked to her a few times that I remembered why I liked her in the first place, she is just fun and I find her really easy to talk to! So maybe RM won't be so bad, and having Christine as a friend again would be nice!

So Christine, if you read this, you ain't so bad after all!

Feeling Fit!

Good Evening Peeps

Today has been a good day! Work was good, as it has been recently mainly due to free stuff! So far I have had 4 lcd monitors from the place we are clearing! Not bad if you ask me! One sold for £50 on eBay, one is going to David's Air Cadet Squadron in Cambridge (not expecting money but he says a small amount is possible), one has gone to my friend Tim to replace his ancient 14" CRT monitor. The final screen is going on eBay tomorrow, where I hope it will reach a similar price to the last one!
Anyway, all of this is irrelevant to today. Today was good just because work was bearable! And because I happened upon 1GB of RAM that will work in my computer. Given that the RAM in my computer would cost around £300 for 1GB, this was a real bonus for me!

Apart from that today has been good as I went to fitness training round my local park. It is a pretty relaxed session with a few people from my hockey club going for a run and doing a few fitness exercises, but it was fun. There were only 7 of us there, 3 guys and 4 girls. I'm good friends with the 2 guys so we had a good laugh, and one of the ladies is the 2nd team captain who I copped of with the the hockey Dinner & Dance. It's sad really, it's been ages and I still giggle saying I copped off with her, given her profession! God I love being 6 years old!

Not much else to say! Looking forward to having a few drinks at the weekend, gonna have a little bbq before the England game too which should be good too! (Fingers-crossed on the weather side of things!)

Hope everyone is well

Lego Star Wars!!! The greatest thing EVER!

Hello all

Hope people are keeping well, had a good weekend and all that! My weekend has mostly consisted of watching football and playing my newly purchased game on my Xbox. This newly purchased game is Lego Star Wars. The game has been around for a while, but I have just bought it cause it is cheap now.

And it is the single greatest investment that I have ever made! Never have I had so much fun on a computer game! And I play them a fair bit! The game is so simple (read: kiddy) but it is un-ashamedly simple! And that's what makes it fun, I don't have to think too much. Now I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan, in fact I'm generally indifferent to the films, but like most boys I grew up liking the idea of a Light-Saber! And I used to play with Lego, making this the perfect game! Lego with the added benefits of Light-Sabers! Darth Maul's double-ender being by far the coolest!

Anyway, if anyone reading enjoys a good laugh and some simple fun, then get this game. It even has the added bonus of 2-players! A second player can just press start and play as another character on screen! Most fun!

Below are a couple of pics that show the Lego-y goodness!

All Is Good, All Is Calm!

Don't worry!

It's OK!

Just in case you are wondering, there has been a drastic change to this post. In hindsight of things I decided it was a worthless post and didn't deserve to take up so much memory on the internet!

And so you get this boring post instead! But to make up for this dramatic intervention, I have included a fantastic photograph of Fat Boy, or Charlie as he is more commonly known!
